There's a moment this position offers that almost no other one does: she is physically on top, and she is watching a man come undone underneath her, and it is because of her.
A thing most positions don't give her
Most positions don't hand a woman that. She receives. She's moved. She's beside him. Here she's above, and moving, and in charge — and he's the one losing the thread. His breath, his composure, his control, coming apart under a rhythm she chose.
And for a lot of women, the obvious response to that — the rush of I am doing this to him — gets quietly filed away as something a little shameful. A power they're not supposed to enjoy quite so plainly. Too much.
Why the drive is normal
So let's be clear and clinical about it, because the clinical truth is freeing: the drive to be the one in control, the one doing it, the one watching it land — that's a common, healthy version of desire. Not a deviation. Not a flaw in your character.
Here's the science, plainly. What turns a given person on isn't one universal setting; researchers describe it as a balance between what accelerates desire and what brakes it, and the mix differs in every body. For a great many women, a strong accelerator is exactly this — agency, control, being the one who acts and watches it land. That's not an exotic wiring. It's one of the ordinary ones. Women say it about themselves all the time, once they trust the room: "I want to be on top, in control." "I'm a dominant person in bed, always have been." The plain wish to use a willing partner for her own pleasure, and to watch him want to be used. None of that is something to fix. The only thing that ever made it feel forbidden is a culture that handed the driver's seat to men and called a woman's appetite for it unseemly.
Permission is the whole move
And here's why this chapter is so short and so important: the block was never mechanical. The block is permission.
A woman who lets herself want the control — who stops treating I love being the one doing this as a confession and starts treating it as plain information about her own engine — has just removed the one thing that was damping her charge. She didn't add a technique. She stopped subtracting one.
So give yourself the permission. The drive, the appetite to take and to watch — it's allowed to be the best part. (To be exact: this isn't about controlling him against his will.
